The natural landscape of the area presents great opportunities for hiking and biking. Marinette County is the waterfall capital of Wisconsin, so put on your hiking shoes and explore the beauty along the rivers in the Crivitz area.

The Lake Noquebay Trails, just northeast of Crivitz, are often used for hiking and biking. County forest and state wildlife areas offer three different trails. These six miles of marked trails run through upland forest and wooded lowlands. The Thunder Mountain Overlook, west of Crivitz on Thunder Mountain Road, is the highest point in Marinette County. It features three miles of trails with stunning views. Marinette County forests have miles of trails and dirt road open to the public for non-motorized use.

Governor Thompson State Park maintains ten trails. These trails cover a variety of terrains and spectacular views of lakes, flowages, and granite outcroppings.
